Currently enrolled master's or doctoral students are invited to compete to win up to $500 in UNC Charlotte's annual 3MT Three Minute Thesis competition. For fall 2020, the competiton goes virtual!
Originating at the University of Queensland, Australia, the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a professional international research communication competition, that celebrates the discoveries made by graduate student researchers while helping students develop important academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Finalists describe their research to a lay audience in only three minutes with just one static slide.
The deadline to register is October 30, 2020. Register here. Once registered, participants will receive instructions on how to submit their competition presentation and slide.
The first place winner will receive $500 and will represent UNC Charlotte at the Virtual Conference of Southern Graduate School’s (CSGS) Annual Meeting. Second place will receive $300, and third place will receive $200. There will also be a People’s Choice Winner, selected by the audience.
