Brigid Mullany and Steve Schmid from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science will lead a project to develop a Center for Additive Manufacture of Advanced Ceramics funded by a 2022-24 University of North Carolina Research Opportunity Initiative (ROI) grant.
The project is seen as vital to the needs of the energy industry and national defense.
