One of Poland’s leading public health experts, Dr. Donata Kurpas, MD, PhD, of Wroclaw Medical University, will participate in an information exchange with UNC Charlotte and local health care leaders as part of National Public Health Week Apr. 3-10.
Dr. Kurpas’ visit will include presentations to Healthcare Systems student groups and opportunities for collaboration with College of Health and Human Services leaders.
Dr. Kurpas is an author and co-author of more than 600 scientific articles and book chapters in family medicine and primary care, public health, geriatrics, and management of chronic diseases. She is also the chair of the International Advisory Board of the European Rural and Isolated Practitioners. In 2015, she received Poland’s Minister of Health First Degree Award for scientific achievements.
