The Coronavirus pandemic has had a dramatic impact on life in the United States over the past couple of months and, some believe, it will bring fundamental change in the way we live in the future.
Graduate students in a course examining changes in architectural production since the 19th century created some vivid images of what life might look like in the future. The exercize was a part of a spring seminar led by Assistant Professor of Architectural History Lidia Klein who asked students to imagine the consequences of COVID-19 on architecture. What she got in return ranged from prefabricated, adaptable commercial building designs to more space for at home for gardens and DIY projects.
